SGA's 40 points while ill leads Thunder to 10th straight win

Imagine dropping 40 points in a crucial game... while battling an illness. That’s exactly what Shai Gilgeous-Alexander did, cementing the Thunder's elite status. Despite being questionable to play, SGA erupted for 40 points on an efficient 12-of-19 shooting, extending his personal 20-point streak to 91 straight games. The victory pushed the Thunder to a historic 18-1 start, a feat only four other teams in NBA history have ever accomplished. This performance solidifies the Thunder not just as a playoff team, but as a legitimate championship contender. This win serves as a statement in the high-stakes NBA Cup and fuels SGA’s case for the league's MVP award.
